Hi, I'm Elly!
“Hi there! Elanor Nahte is the name, but my friends all call me Elly – and what is a stranger if not a friend you’re about to make?”
Elly is a happy-go-lucky but hapless, perpetually down on her luck wandering adventurer for hire. She is a consummate jack of all trades, with wide ranging martial, field, and tradecraft skills, but absolutely a master of none. Her great curiosity about the world and cultures around her makes her talented at picking up new skills but miserable at truly devoting herself to more than a journeyman understanding of them.
While she is often insightful and inquisitive in a way that lets her quickly understand who people are, it doesn’t shield her from being a bit gullible and naive in who he chooses to trust and what she’s willing to do for them – she’s just a bit too eager to help for her own good, and is incredibly open to the idea of considering new people friends (even when there’s very little evidence to evaluate whether she should or not).
As such, she often finds herself in a place of desperation, with a need to take on odd, unpleasant, or outlandish jobs just to afford food to eat and a place to sleep. She refuses to let it get her down though – for every person who disappoints her there’s someone who’s exceptionally kind, and there’s always something valuable to experience even when situations don’t go the way she hoped they would.
“So now that we’re good friends, do you know anyone who needs help with anything? I’ve got lots of skills – I’m good in a fight, I’m a moderately skilled craftsperson, and I’ve also done my fair share of field labor. But I’m not proud. I’ll do just about anything… really… anything…?"
TLDR!
Elly is an aspiring do-gooder who is struggling to make ends meet in an Eorzea overrun with capable adventurers. She’s newly arrived from Othard in search of her sister, who disappeared from Kugane while Elly was trapped in a tricky contract as a laborer for the Namazu. She and her sister shared a traumatic experience as Garlean prisoners in occupied Doma, and have since been trying their best to emulate the example set by the heroes who freed them.
“Anyway, I need to get myself on the right track so I can spend less time working to stay alive and more time actually looking for her. Or more time just helping people! I LOOOOVE helping people, even before the Scions and the Warrior of Light freed us from the Garleans, but now I’m determined to be just like them. I want to be the one saving people, the one giving them whatever they need to be happy.”
She loves to travel, meet new people, and learn about new cultures and ways of life.
She’s incredibly open and readily embraces new experiences.
She can be surprisingly insightful about the people around her, but she has bad luck and often makes bad choices in who to trust.
Largely this is due to her overwhelmingly optimistic attitude and cheerful refusal to let life’s setbacks get her down. But also, she is a bit ditzy at times – which is curious, isn’t? Where does that come from?
She needs money, badly. Every bit she earns she spends traveling in search of her sister.
While she worries about her sister, she has a strong belief that she can care for herself. As a result, she continues to pursue their shared interest in altruism in the meantime – which also has a way of draining her purse at times as well.
The tribe of wandering miqo’te in Othard that she was born to had very open and progressive values around sex and relationships. As a result, Elly completely fails to defy the prevailing stereotypes about cute cat girls. Ooops!
Elly is romantically and sexually attracted to people of all genders, and has wide ranging interests in adult activities. She deeply appreciates the wide variety life has to offer, and sees beauty in all forms.

“And I just… I just need to get on my feet, get some solid ground to build from. Aside from just wanting to help people who need it, I’m actually also here looking for my sister. All I know for sure is that she was taken on board a boat at the Kugane piers, but I’m pretty sure they were headed here to Eorzea.”
Content Warnings
First and foremost, I must insist that you are of legal adult age where you live and that you have the ability to provide informed, adult consent if you want to be friends with Elly. The rest of this profile goes to great lengths to convey that Elly is a character meant to be fun and interesting outside of an ERP context – MRP for sure, but she’s about more than just playing with kinky fantasies. However, it’s worth being very upfront that she does NOT hide from the reality that sex exists, and she has more than a few kinky character traits.Elly will very happily mirror and participate in a way that is respectful of other players interests and boundaries, but she’ll be most happy in a context where she doesn’t have to repress herself. So, if you have no interest in interacting with a character who acknowledges the existence of sex and is in touch with what she enjoys, Elly may unfortunately not be the new friend you are looking for. Or maybe she is? We can certainly find out, if you’re curious! Also, whether or not Elly is operating in a context where erotic storytelling is involved, her personal history includes traumatic experiences and abuse that many people may find disturbing and/or triggering (even though they are rooted in ideas the MSQ touches on somewhat extensively, particularly throughout 5.0 and 5.x story content).I will always provide OOC content warnings before Elly discusses these details, and I will not proceed without the explicit consent of all participating players. My intent is to be engaging and add texture and character to Elly, to be an interesting reflection on the world established in the MSQ, and to add flavor and context to potential MRP/ERP that might follow – it is NOT to make people sad, or upset, or otherwise uncomfortable.

Plot Hooks
Elly is always in dire need of money, but she really wants to earn it by helping people – in fact, she’ll very easily let the idea of helping people supersede her need for income.
Are you a good person? Do you or someone you know have a task you need done, no matter how strange or trivial? Elly is interested! Do you have an adventure you want help with? Elly is interested! Know of people in need of rescuing? Elly is extremely interested, obviously.
Are you a bad person who can convince Elly you are a good person? (Yay!) Elly is in some ways very insightful, but that can be easily overridden if you appeal to her core desires. Send this hapless adventurer into a bad situation – or a “bad” situation. (OOH NOES!) Convince her to participate in your own get rich quick scheme, with no intent to share the proceeds with her.
Or, maybe convince her to seek less savory kinds of employment? She comes from a culture with much looser taboos around certain kinds of activities, so she may struggle to realize that you are being villainous rather than helpful. (The joke may be on you though – she loves learning about new cultures, in a wide variety of ways.)
Elly puts on a strong face and moves through the world with optimism and joy, but she has experienced very hard things in her past. A friend who is curious and interested in her life might develop a richer understanding of this hapless hero – and find fun and interesting new ways to connect with her, depending on the nature of their friendship.
Elly’s sister does exist in Eorzea! Maybe you are interested in helping them reunite? Except, it might prove curiously challenging to get them both in the same place at once. Hm. Rich opportunities for fun comedy of errors interactions, or to help two star crossed sisters find a bit of peace, if not quite each other. Or for more villainous types, there are chances to express your cruelty and exploit not just one, but two struggling adventurers who desire to be good and helpful in the world.

So, friend, can I share something personal with you? Like, a deep, dark secret kind of thing? Something that makes me feel weird and sad sometimes, but also… well, also is something that can be fun for friends to know, so we can play with it and make it… make it a good thing, maybe?
Background
Elly was born to a rare nomadic miqo’te tribe in the far reaches of Othard, formed by Ilsabard refugees who headed east when most went west during the Endless Frost. Though similar in appearance to Eorzean Seekers, culturally they more closely resemble Keepers, with matriarchal norms and practices, but with an overwhelming wanderlust and curiosity that keeps their social groups small and unrooted.
Shortly after she and her younger sister Lynne passed the rites of adulthood, their tribe found their way to occupied Doma. Filled with the spirit of her new responsibilities as a hunter and caretaker for the tribe, while visiting a small hamlet to barter for supplies she made the foolhardy choice to try to intervene after witnessing Garlean soldiers abusing the villagers. She and her sister were both captured and held prisoner by the Empire, and subjected to cruel and outlandish psychological and physical experiments conducted by a Primus obsessed with developing new techniques for subjugating conquered populuses. They were eventually freed when the heroes of the Doman Liberation Front reclaimed Castrum Fluminis, but in the intervening time their tribe had disappeared without discernible trace. Perhaps they were driven off by the Empire, or captured and taken elsewhere, or maybe they simply chose to move on when it became clear their wayward daughters were unlikely to return. Rather than despair, however, Elly decided to take inspiration from their saviors and dedicated herself to becoming an wandering adventurer, serving the role she had meant to play for her tribe for any and all who needed help.
For a time things went well enough – she excelled at learning new skills, and quickly picked up the basics that make a good adventurer. It wasn’t too long before she and her sister were able to afford a small apartment in Kugane where they could begin establishing a more settled life. However, after an ill fated contract kept her waylaid for an extended stay doing menial labor for the Namazu in the Azim Steppes, Elly returned home to find Lynne missing. After making inquiries all over the Ruby Bazaar and the Rakuza District, she learned that Lynne had been attempting to find new employment and had last been seen at the piers in a heated conversation with shady foreigners, reportedly from Limsa Lominsa or thereabouts.Unwilling to lose her last remaining family member, she boarded a ship to Eorzea herself. And once again, in the face of despair and loneliness, she chose to see hope and opportunity – Lynne was tough enough to take care of herself, and surely the original home of the Warrior of Light would be a fertile place for an adventurer to find work and help people. She knew in her heart that eventually she would be reunited with her sister, and along the way she would exercise her calling; exploring, seeing new lands, learning about new cultures, and earning herself a place amongst the great heroes of the realm by helping those in need.Only, upon arrival in Eorzea, she discovered it was overrun with aspiring adventurers just like herself. The great force that was the Warrior of Light and the Scions of the Seventh Dawn were not just inspiring to her, it seems! So while she certainly HAS found the joy of exploration and cultural exchange, she finds herself perpetually struggling to find meaningful work and more often than not has barely a gil to her name.
She did have the good fortune of meeting Tataru, the legendary bookkeeper of the Scions, recruiting adventurers with practical field skills outside the Drowning Wench for some broadly incomprehensible scheme involving Limsan expansion into islands to the south. Trusting in Tataru’s good reputation, Elly signed up – and sure enough, the work was good and the environment was pleasant – but she was initially baffled to learn that for some reason she was going to be paid in seashells instead of gil.Thankfully (yet inexplicably) the shells could be exchanged for rare dyes, the sale of which at the markets in the big cities proved to be the only meaningful and reliable source of income she’s found – so far, at least. She is becoming increasingly more desperate though, and has heard of more dubious but profitable money making schemes, which she’d like to ignore… but she IS going to need a lot more money if she’s going to properly explore Eorzea and continue her search for Lynne.
“Wait, who told you that?! Elly… er I, that is… I’m just Elly! There’s no other secret personality to know about or anything weird like that! Ahhh, ha hA Haa… hm. Okay, if you promise to keep a secret I’ll share some things, but JUST BETWEEN US, right?”
OOC Notes
I’m a kinky queer person living on the west coast of the United States, but my play time is often sporadic and at odd hours. You can address me as you would Elly, or if you prefer you can call me E and use whatever pronouns you like.I work in software development, and a big source of fun in games for me is pushing the boundaries of what the systems naturally support and finding places where I can make UI and interactivity suit my tastes and interests – and if you get to know Elly in certain ways, you might have a chance to have fun with something I’ve done along those lines for her.
As I’ve tried to make implicity clear in the design of this profile, while I’m definitely here for NSFW and otherwise mature content (and there are definitely BIG hooks for kinky fun in Elly’s life) I’m not necessarily trying to foreground it – that’s entirely dependent on who I’m interacting with. Elly is very happy to be a super fun vanilla friend who’s just trying to get by and maybe find her sister – or a very VERY special kind of friend who might be interested in a much broader range of activities than you’d expect. But what would make her most happy is to have a life full of a great variety of fun interactions and relationships where the lines between might often be a bit blurry! As I hope is clear, I aim to have my writing be whimsical (often sexy) fun for the sake of the fun itself, but also as a way of dealing with the darkness underlying in a way that feels right for me.Beyond that, apologies, but I’m not terribly comfortable revealing much else in the way of personal details (it doesn’t feel like a safe time in America to be some of the things I am), and I don’t really do much in the way of social media.I do have Discord available as an out of game communication option (link in the footer), but for the most part I’d prefer to interact in game until stronger connections are formed. (Most of my RP time happens in Discord play-by-post games actually – Elly is the first real attempt I’ve made at interactive, shared storytelling in a video game, oddly.)
